In a resounding victory, Lira University’s Dean of Students, Aceng Emma, has been elected General Secretary of the Uganda Deans of Students Executive (UDOSF). The election, held on September 19, 2024, at Soroti University during the Uganda Deans of Students Conference, marks a significant milestone for Lira University and underscores its commitment to shaping the future of Uganda’s education sector. As General Secretary, Aceng Emma is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping student welfare and policy across the county.

This significant achievement further positions Lira University as a leader in the Deans’ Executive. The following people listed below were also elected during the conference.

  • Vice Chairperson: Amos Tukamushaba (Kabale University)
  • General Secretary: Emma Aceng (Lira University)
