In a recent ceremony, Bishop Tarantino College in Ngetta awarded Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero with the prestigious Silver Founders Certificate, an honor bestowed upon individuals or organizations who contribute between UGX 1 million and UGX 5 million in cash or in kind towards the development of the institution. This recognition is a testament to Dr. Aceng’s dedication to improving educational infrastructure and supporting community growth in Uganda. The certificate will make Dr. Aceng benefit from the elite status and special attention when it comes to admission of students.
Earlier this month, Dr. Aceng, a prominent health professional and legislator, donated and delivered 74 bags of cement to Bishop Tarantino College. This generous contribution, valued at UGX 2 million, will aid in the renovation of the school’s aging infrastructure. Her Technical Advisor, Madam Emma Okite, coordinated the delivery of the cement to the school on her behalf, underscoring Dr. Aceng’s commitment to ensuring quality educational facilities for students.
The college’s administration expressed deep gratitude for Dr. Aceng’s generosity and her prioritization of education in the region. “Dr. Aceng’s support exemplifies the spirit of community and compassion. Her donation is a reminder of the impact that individuals in leadership positions can make when they prioritize education,” a member of the school management commented.
The Silver Founders Certificate not only acknowledges Dr. Aceng’s specific donation but also serves as a call to others in the community to follow her example and invest in the future of Bishop Tarantino College. This award is part of the college’s initiative to recognize all contributors whose assistance significantly impacts the institution’s growth, particularly as it strives to improve its educational environment and facilities.
Dr. Aceng’s contribution will assist Bishop Tarantino College in creating a safer, more conducive learning environment for students, reinforcing the school’s mission to foster academic excellence and empowerment for young Ugandans.
