AYuTe NextGen 2025 Showcases Agri-Tech Talent

The AYuTe NextGen 2025 Conference, held in Kampala from June 17-19, featured innovators from Northern Uganda, highlighting the region’s contributions to agricultural technology. Young innovators from across Africa gathered to present solutions for food security, with Northern Uganda’s participants standing out for their locally-driven tech solutions. For instance, Assumpta Nakalema, a Ugandan innovator, gained recognition for her solar-powered egg incubator, which reduces post-harvest losses for poultry farmers, demonstrating the region’s role in addressing practical challenges with technology.
