Kwania district has been selected to benefit from the Land Management Project, an initiative under the Land Management Institution Strengthening Grant. This project aims to make land surveying and titling more affordable, streamline District Land Board sittings, and facilitate Area Land Committee meetings and file preparations.
Key Benefits of the Project
- Reduced Costs: Land surveying and titling costs will be significantly reduced, making it more accessible to landowners.
- Improved Efficiency: The project will facilitate District Land Board sittings, District Physical Planning Committee meetings, and inspections.
- Enhanced Capacity: The District Land Sector will receive a complete set of survey equipment and a motorcycle to support project implementation.
The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development (MLHUD) has already begun orienting stakeholders, including members of the District Land Board, District Physical Planning Committee, and Chairpersons of Area Land Committees. This orientation, held on October 18, 2024, marked the beginning of the project’s implementation phase.
The district land sector is urging all civil servants, political leaders, government institutions, and landowners in Kwania district to take advantage of this opportunity and title their lands within the next eight months. The project’s success depends on the number of files produced, making community participation crucial.
With the Land Management Project, Kwania district is poised to experience significant improvements in land administration, benefiting its residents and contributing to the region’s growth.
