Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero joined the congregation of St. Peters Ireda Church of Uganda for morning prayers today in her neighborhood. Dr. Aceng, who resides near the church, expressed gratitude to the members for their unwavering support and prayers. “I appreciate your prayers and encouragement,” she said. “Your support means a lot to me.”
During her visit, Dr. Aceng generously donated 136 bags of Tororo Cement SEM 1 costing UGX 5,894,000 to aid in the church’s expansion project. The cement was formally handed over to the chairperson of the church’s construction committee.
St. Peters Ireda Church of Uganda , located just few meters from Dr. Aceng’s residence, is currently undergoing expansion. The minister’s contribution will significantly alleviate the financial burden on the church, enabling them to continue their expansion efforts.
While acknowledging the church’s significance, Dr. Aceng noted her responsibilities extend across Lira City. “I have to traverse the entire city, as there are many churches requiring support,” she explained.
Church leaders and members welcomed Dr. Aceng’s gesture, praising her commitment to the community’s spiritual growth. The support is a true dedication to uplifting the people of Lira City.
As St. Peters Ireda Church continues its expansion, Dr. Aceng’s support will undoubtedly inspire others to contribute to the community’s development.
“I appreciate the prayers and support of St. Peters Ireda Church. Your encouragement motivates me to serve our community better.” – Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, Minister of Health / Woman MP, Lira City.
